I am beyond excited to share these images.
I have had such a pleasure working with the Goodman family and photographing the teens throughout the past few year in school events.
The morning I got the call to secretly photograph Jackson proposing to Megan I became giddy with excitement for the rest of the day. This is the one thing I have always wanted to photograph and was just absolutely ecstatic to finally get the chance to.
Jackson’s plan was to do a scavenger hunt and have Megan find all of these clues which would eventually lead them out to Ennis Lake where he would propose. Well, Megan was just whipping through the hunt while I was getting set up and hiding out down by the lake.
Finally, after much anticipation, the couple arrived at the lake. With Megan blindfolded, Jackson led her down to the shore where he took the blindfold off and presented the last clue to her. I had tears in my eyes while I photographed this special moment. It was probably the sweet thing I have ever seen.
The engagement session took place over a period of two days at their wedding venue, The Jumping Horse show barn. The evening we chose to do the session turned into a dark and stormy night. I’m pretty sure it’s the fasted I’ve ever shot 100 photos! haha
We decided to meet the next morning at the same location and boy and I glad we did! The light was just amazing and perfect for this awesome session.
I am so excited to follow this couple into the start of their journey together and capturing these special moments for them.
Here is a preview of the actual engagement and the engagement session. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding in July! 🙂
